A husband is a handy thing

It's almost Friday and time for another weekend but I think I'm still recovering from last weekend!  My wonderful husband (who drives 18 wheelers and is out of town more often than not) had 5 days of vacation.  I tried to be considerate and have less than 10 items on his Honey-Do list.  Luckily, he's a trooper and didn't mind the grocery store list, cleaning list, laundry list, etc. that I handed to him.

Over the weekend we defined the flower beds we want to put in around the front of the house.  We widened the side bed and outlined curved beds for the front.  We then weeded the side bed and started on the front.  After thinking about what steps we wanted to take to complete the beds we decided to leave it for another weekend.

The most important item that I wanted him to complete was the sanding of the bathroom cabinets.  He split it into two days and it's now ready for me to stain - just in time for him to leave.  If you ask me, I think he planned it this way!

On Monday, he removed the doors, drawers, and hardware.  He sanded the facing in the bathroom (and cleaned up!) by the time I got home from work on Monday.  Tuesday he sanded the doors and drawers.

So, it looks like I have a hot date this weekend - with a stain brush and cabinetry.
